Hannah is passionate about using media and communications for effective farm animal advocacy. Having worked in animal protection for nearly 5 years, she joined The Humane League in 2017 as the first UK communications team member, building the reputation of THL in the UK from infancy.
As part of her work for non-profit organisations Hannah has written pieces for a range of leading publications and built up successful social media pages from scratch. In her spare time she loves experimenting in the kitchen, veganising recipes and posting badly taken photos of her food on her Instagram, @catsandveganfood.
In her speech Hannah will present on how to use mission-driven communications to help bring about change for animals. She will talk about how the media and social media have played a central role in The Humane League UK’s campaigns for animals raised for food, and what they have learnt from some of the challenges they faced as a new organisation.
